The Return of Casual: Revival or Reinvention?
During my interview with Chris Lee, we spoke about the decline of casual culture and what’s replaced it. He pointed to a shift in how lads in Liverpool dress now: low effort, no colour, and a lack of indaviduality. Liverpool was once charitasoed by its unique style and now feels more uniform.
Spend a day in Liverpool and it’s difficult to ignore — the same black Montirex jackets, the same Air Max 110s, young people seem to lack an indepdendent stye. The uniqueness that once defined the city has, in many ways, faded.
But not all hope is lost. Transalpino feels like a modern-day Wade Smith, bringing back a sense of casual culture.
